We are delighted to welcome Dr Jen Remnant as the new BSA Chair.  Jen is a senior lecturer at the Scottish Centre for Employment based at Strathclyde University, working primarily on projects around workplace inclusion and disability rights, and is a familiar presence across the Association’s work.  As Chair, she will help guide our strategic direction and ensure the Association stays close to the concerns of its members.

We also want to take a moment to properly thank Professor Chris Yuill, whose time as Chair saw the Association through a genuinely difficult period. Keeping things steady when the ground is shifting isn’t easy, and Chris did that with commitment and good judgement. The Association is in a stronger position because of his work, and we are grateful for it.

Jen’s term runs from April 2026 to Summer 2028. We also welcome Paul Campbell to the role of BSA Vice Chair, who joins Jen in leading the Association’s governance through this next period.

We look forward to working with Jen in the years ahead.

Interested in shaping the BSA’s future?  We are seeking applications for three new trustees.  Find out more and apply by 5pm (BST) on Tuesday, 14 April 2026.
